You are all a bunch of complete idiots for making jokes.  It is, in fact, perfectly possible for blind people to use the internet, either by screen readers or other devices.

You win the prize for the stupidest question of the night! Seriously, if people are blind, they would'nt be able to respond to this :p.
Actually, it is possible for blind people to read and use the internet.

You beat me to it. This was a serious question.

For gods sakes, even my stock Macintosh computer can dictate sites to me under control features.

well unless they have a computer that can talk, i dont see how a blind person can use this site

there are programs called "screen readers" that can read the content of the screen. the only thing i can see that could be a problem for a blind person is if there is a captcha code (type the characters in the image displayed thing) on the registration form.

if you have windows XP, try the following (i can't guarantee this will work but try it anyway):

go to the start menu and go to programs. select accessories and then select accessibility. start microsoft narrator.
now shut your eyes and try to go on lw.

there are even notetaker type devices designed specificly for blind people.
